For this project I have decided to create a slide show of the Bahama’s, while narrating in the background about what is going on in the slides. This relates to my course topic because the Bahama’s is one of the top places to travel in the world, and that is exactly what my course topic is about. I was mainly inspired by videos that I normally watch on YouTube such as watchmojo.com and the richest, who talk about interesting real facts/topics and they narrate in the background on what is going on, and what is happening next. I actually had to do a lot of research in order to find information about the Bahama’s. I mainly researched about the history, origin, GDP, resorts, traveling, food, culture, and more.
The significance of the elements in my design is how I am creating my own short movie from different topics that I enjoy, and different scenes that encourage me to proceed throughout my project. My design process is not very long, because this is only my draft, but my final will take me much longer. I started off by researching about the Bahama’s and gathering information I thought was interesting. Once I got all of that I incorporated it into my own words and typed it into my notes so I could read off of it. I then recorded myself saying what I just typed out, which took me a couple tries as I wanted it to be perfect. I then transferred that onto my computer and into premiere. Once it was in, I edited all the parts where there is no narration or popping noises. Then, I went on a free to use website and found pictures that worked perfecting in my design. I put them in the exact spot of where I was talking about them in my audio, so that it is very easy to follow along and so there are visual images for you to picture with the narration. Once everything was in order I did a few tests and edits and uploaded it onto YouTube.
I collected all of the elements in my design from free to use websites, and websites that had a lot of basic information about the Bahama’s. My process for constructing my project using premiere was basically using the razor tool and selection tool in order to cut my audio/media and being able to place them in their desired locations. I had a bit of trouble putting my images into premiere at first and I thought something was wrong, but premiere was just being very slow and sometimes didn’t allow me to click certain tools. Not really any solutions to that, I basically just waited until it would allow me again.
I know that my pictures are not fit to size and some are not easy to see but that’s because I wanted to give you just the basic elements of my design, so I can spend most of my time on the final product.

I really enjoyed your video, it was very interesting and informative to learn more about the Bahamas. My favorite part was learning that it’s one of the 3rd most expensive places to live. I would recommend changing a few things to make your video story flow a little better. First, I would insert transitions between your images to make it more visually pleasing and to not make it seem like I’m just flipping through photos. Also, some pictures were blurry which isn’t good for a video story like this. I would also refer back to one of the premiere tutorials because there is a way to make the images fit the entire screen, and I think this will make the video a lot better and uniform. I would also recommend using less pictures and keeping the individual images on the screen longer. I felt like the images flipped through very quickly. Overall, I think you did a great job and I can’t wait to see the final!

Hello Samuel, I liked your video, its interesting the topic you picked. It is different but I like it. I also like that you did your video on the Caribbean. One suggestion I have is that the narrative is really quiet through out the video. If you brought the volume up some for the whole video it would make the video stronger. Another suggestion i have is, putting in transitions to make the video flow better. It fells kinda jumpy because of no transitions from scene to scene. but overall I like the video and the topic. I cant wait to see the end results.
